Since it’s too hot for me in the southern states and I don’t like corn, we built a replica here. Elvis Presley, Charlie Rich, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Ike Turner, Howling Wolf, and Rufus Thomas haven’t recorded here yet. I blame it on the fact that they’re dead!
But otherwise, the spirit lives on. MOON Studios is up and running, and just like with the Stax Studios in Memphis, local officials will probably soon decide that it would be better to build a parking lot on the site.
